Please bring your dog's current Maine rabies certificate. Also, bring each dog's spay or neutering certificate. Renewals are due in December of each year and cost $11.00 for male/female dogs. $6.00 for spay or neutered dogs; Renewals after February 1st have a State mandated $25.00 penalty assessed for late payment. |

New Residents: Must be a resident of Maine for at least 3 months; vehicle registration and driver's license must be Maine's. New and renewals: Must bring evidence of a previous hunting (or archery) license OR a Safe Hunter's Card. |

Marriage licenses are issued at the town office, both the bride and groom must visit the town office in person to apply for the marriage license. Maine residents must file in the town in which at least one of them reside. Non-residents of Maine may file in any municipal office. Once their intentions are filed and the license issued, the parties are free to marry anywhere within the state of Maine. A certified copy of a divorce decree or a death certificate is needed for those who have been previously married. BOTH parties must sign the actual license in the Town Clerk's presence before it can be issued. Your marriage license is valid for 90 days and can only be used within the State of Maine. There will no longer be a waiting period between the time intentions are filed and the date the license can be issued. Once intentions are filed; a marriage license may be issued immediately. The person performing the ceremony is responsible for filing the marriage certificate with the town office that issued the marriage license. |
